How to fit in at new high school in murrieta, ca?

  • okay so i live in las vegas and im transfering to a high school in murrieta, california if anyone kkows where that is. im not popular but im a very well liked person. ive always made friends easily but im very nervous. im kind of considered a skater i guess, im very outgoing yet shy. im considered pretty by most but i dont have boys all over me;) i wanna know if id fit in in cali. im originally from san diego but ive never been to a california school so im super nervous. any advice?

  • Answer:

Well there are 3 high schools in Murrieta. Murrieta Mesa is the newest and has a very nice campus, kids there seem to wear lots of bright colors, MMHS is also in the "ghetto" part of town... but lets face it kids in Murrieta dont know what ghetto is... Murrieta Valley HS the kids can be a bit superficial, it seems if your parents drive a Ferrari and you live in Bear Creek/La Cresta/De Luz or any other rich neighborhood your automatically "cool" at MVHS... MVHS is very into scholastic excellence and not sports (besides an amazing water polo/swim teams). Lastly theres Vista Murrieta HS who has by far the best overall sports teams in the Temecula Valley... theyre arent really any REALLY RICH kids here or REALLY POOR kids here... most VMHS kids are pretty athletic and sporty sorta kids... You really dont have anything to worry... about youll find friends fast, all 3 schools have soooooooo many kids your bound to find people who you have stuff in common with :)

Any time you have to change schools it is normal to be nervous, just be yourself, hold your head up , and be positive. You will be just fine. Good Luck in your new school
