How can I raise my GPA?

How can I raise my GPA? (ongoing junior this september)?

  • Answer:

AP classes are harder, but a good prep for college. Study and ask questions when you don't know something. Try to get a study group together for each subject, just remember to pay attention to what grades others are getting, and whether they are really interested in studying or goofing around. This will force regular studying. Also set up little rewards and punishments for yourself. (If you get a certain grade you get your reward, like getting a CD or going to the movies, but if you don't you can't have the CD or go the movies.) Try and get ahead on your English classes by asking for the reading list. This way you can read them over the summer, then reread them during class. (You'll be amazed at how much more detail you will retain.) Borrow some how to books for next year's topics and try and stay ahead of the rest of the class. A quick trick is some electives that are relatively easy to get an A in.

Study and take AP classes. I'm a junior as well and that's what I'm doing!

One way to raise it is by studying, another way is taking Honors, Advanced, and AP classes, for they are weighted classes, therefore, raising your GPA.
