Going to college from public high school?

If I transfer to a public high school, would I still have a chance at going to high ranked, renowned colleges, and college in London? I go to a prep school right now, but due to money issues, I may transfer to a public high school in south carolina (probably Wando High) as a junior (I am a sophomore right now) My dream college is "Imperial College London" ( if u kno this college, it is really good college) that is in london. Would I still be able to dream of it and have a chance at getting in if I go to Wando? (please think realistically :)) or any kind of really nice colleges.
