Where can i get experience with working with children?

• Im in my senior year of high school and im going to go into elementary education. But i need to find places to either work at or volunteer at to get experience. Since Im in school I cant assist at an elementary school at the moment, and all the day cares ive seen want previous experience. Ive looked up local libraries and they aren't hiring, the YMCA isn't hiring anyone expect managers, and the church day cares ive seen also want people with experience. So I have emailed someone involved in the volunteer work for Riley Hospital and similar clinics. Where else can i look into that could actually pay me, or if not pay me, at least have other volunteer opportunities to look into?

  Churches often have daycare for services as well as vacation periods. Ask, perhaps they will need someone extra.
