How can I focus better in class?

I can't pay attention in class, but when i get home i can focus much better...why is this?

  • new material taught in class confuses me to no end, but right when i get home...or a quieter environment...or maybe i am just tired in the morning? anyways, i am able to teach the material to myself. does anyone else experience this? why is it that no work gets done at the very place where work is supposed to get done..at work (school) and instead in preferred environments like a library or something?

    You are just a different type of learner. Or you have crappy teachers? lol But I sometimes teach myself better than the instructor does... It just depends on you.

I'm not being coy when I say this but you may have a mild learning disability. It might be worth it to talk to your doctor about it, a counselor at the school, and of course your parents. If that ends up being the case, the school will need to adjust their teaching style to accommodate your learning challenges. Please do not let shame or pride keep you from getting help. You do not need to announce it to the entire school; simply seek advice.
