'the thames hotel' is a very nice hotel. you can see the river thames from the rooms. when i was younger i stayed at the thames hotel with my dad. it was beautiful. it is in the centre of the city and only one hour away from the airport. there are allot of fun activities you can do in london, for example you can go to 'Madame Tussuad' a wax museum, or go for a walk around 'hyde park'. i would recommend you take the time to visit 'big ben' because its one of the most well known monuments in london. if you like to shop you can go to 'oxford street' it has allot of big shops and also some tourist shops where you can buy souvenirs. i go to 'oxford street' often. the bad thing is that it is very busy. i went to 'oxford street' last weekend with my friends and i am going there next weekend. here is what you can do on your first day: in the morning you can go sight seeing and take photos then you can go for a walk around or maybe visit oxford street. in the afternoon you can go on a boat ride down the river thames and go on the 'london eye'. then in the evening you can visit one of the many fantastic restraunts. i recommend the 'blue river caf' as it is next to the hotel and the food is deliciouse! i hope you enjoy your weekend in london katie
