First of all, America isn't the only country that has this problem. Secondly, when was 'civility' ever a part of human nature? People have been yelling rude things at people from the get go, and acting barbaric since we were alive. People are more polite and careful about boundaries than ever; was America more 'civil' when they owned slaves? When women didn't have the vote? When they were off killing people of other nations? IF civility was disappearing, those events wouldn't have been such a big deal in the media. They would have been the norm. The fact that peopled were outraged shows that it's still considered very unacceptable behaviour.

Disappearing? It's been gone for years. I mean it went out the window when americans became obsessed with severed penises & bashing figure skater's knees! Our country has become a cesspool of lust.
