Ideas for a thesis statement!?

Answer:
Its hard to help with a thesis statement when I haven't read the whole paper. It would be like you asking me to tell you the theme of a story, but not letting me read it. That being said - it IS actually easier to try to focus on the theme of your whole story. Since it sounds like a personal expository essay, your thesis statement should reflect your essay and opinion as a whole. Something along the lines of: Allowing my brother's weakness to overcome my trust made A, B, and C happen. A good thesis statement states the point (you regret allowing him back in) with your main ideas (A, B, C: these i don't know). You don't want to outright say your main ideas, however. Write them in a different way than you do in your body paragraphs. Now, you may want actually state your thesis statement at the end of your essay, since this sounds like a personal kind of expository piece. In that case, your thesis should show how letting your brother back in and trusting him changed you in the end. I hope this helps, as I said, its hard to give a good thesis statement when I don't know your main ideas for the body paragraphs.
