I have to write a personal statement. Any help?

Help me write opening statement for speech?

• We're having a debate in Bio about water conservation. The topic is this: We should turn the water off in a house if they exceed the limit of water use for that week. I am on the Con side. Some points we've got: -Larger families use more water -Without water, you wouldn't be able to keep house (ie, mop, do laundry, wash dishes) -Nor would you be able to have very good hygiene. Can't shower/bathe. -You can't wash hands, and in turn you're more susceptible to diseases/infections. -Can't water plants. (I doubt anyone really does this, but what if you've a garden that you get your food from? You couldn't water it!!!) -No drinking water (unless you buy bottled...we have good stats about why you should just use plain tap water) and it's pretty hard to cook sometimes without water. Please help me write the opening statement. It should be about three solid paragraphs. Also, if you've suggestions about the points, I'm open to those too. Thanks so much!

  Well in a debate the first thing to do is either define the topic, or accept the one given by the affirmative. you should also have a team line. try and think of other water conserving techniques that are more practical.
