Possible Controversial Science Topics?

Topics to research for a science fair project?

  • What topics could you research. And I want more specific topics, instead of you know, heat, physics, chemistry, plants, etc etc, more specific topics, like sunscreen, turbiditiy, surface tension, soil erosion, What specific topics like the ones above could be researched? Your help will be greatly appreciatted. Thanks. :)

  • Answer:

The evolution of feral cats. Use the Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium and go to several animal shelters in your area to document certain traits of the feral cats to see which ones they are evolving towards. I am doing this for my science fair project and i have already discovered that they are evolving. However, you will need to develop a more specific research topic and hypothesis then just "the evolution of feral cats." However, that is a good umbrella topic to start with.

parallel universes....this guy on nova aimed a laser beam towards two holes in cardboard against a black backdrop. You would think that the laser beam would split up into 2 beams through both the holes and end up being two spots on the board on the other side. But what happens is that there are all kinds of spots that show up when you shine a laser beam (one laser) through two holes that are vertically on a piece of cardboard. google nova or pbs and parallel universes... watc

there are so many topics to choose from, but the best would be recycling. You may no think that it isn't a earth science topic but actually it is.
