What are some good comparative essay topics?

What are good essay topics?!?

  • Answer:

Well, one topic that's a "hot topic" is Thomas Jefferson and his relationship(s) with his slaves--specifically Sally Hemings. That could make a great essay and there's even a whole book out now about it called The Hemingses of Monticello, by Annette Gordon-Reed--it can be easily found at Barnes & Noble or a place like that, and I'm sure some of the public libraries will have it. Another idea would be to look up ANY scandal in history--you could probably even just search "historical scandals" though I have not at this moment tried it. Any of the royal families in Europe is bound to have a great scandal that would be fun to write about!
