Can someone help me check and add some points.. Bluetooth uses a standardized wireless protocol for devices to communicate. It is essentially a networking standard that works at two levels which is physical level and protocol level. Physical level is where the Bluetooth is a radio-frequency standard. Protocol level is where Bluetooth have to agree when bits are sent, how many will be sent at a time and how the parties in a conversation can sure that the message received is the same as the message sent. Bluetooth devices create a Personal-area Network (PAN), or piconet. Piconets are designed to link up to eight different devies. In piconet, one device is master and other is the slave. Master has the duty of directing and controlling communications, even between two slave devices. An alternative to the point-to-point piconet is the multipoint piconet, in which one master and multiple slave devices exist. Each of the devices has an address on the network so the information is transmitted to the correct device. A piconet can be as small as a two foot connection between a keyboard and a computer, or it can encompass several devices over an entire room. Bluetooth uses a technique called spread-spectrum frequency hopping. It can make the Bluetooth rare for more than one device to be transmitting on the same frequency at the same time. The Bluetooth specification allows connecting two or more piconets together to form a scatternet. A scatternet is used so that the two devices in two or more piconets can communicate with each other by using time division multiplexing (TDM). When someone is using Bluetooth-mouse, one small cheap is ask to plug to a laptop device, then the user can use the Bluetooth-mouse at a further distance from a monitor and move it in the room. When someone wants to send file to laptop, just on both Bluetooth devices and wait for the searching of the cell phone Bluetooth devices. Once the searching is done, then the file can start to transfer.
