What is the best activity that i should do to attract pupils attention to learn about uses of magnets?

  • In the beginning of the lesson, i would like to attract their attention to the topic they will learn that day which is the uses of magnets, so what is the best activity or situation to fill up the orientation phase in my lesson plan. I actually used 5 Needham Phases in my science teaching so, in the orientation phase, what is the best things that i can do to attract their attention to that day's lesson,"uses of magnets?"

    ummm, well probably don't say "today we are doing the use of magnets" :') that would loose my attention straight away! Maybe just give them some magnets and paper-clips and let them amuse themselves for an hour haha :P magnets can't have that many uses, can they?
