What's the best way to start a small clothing line business?

I dont know how to start my own clothing line business and i have tons of sketches i need help?

    When I started my clothing line, I purchased a book from Amazon called "The official step by step guide to starting a clothing line" by Jay Arrington. I've been in business 4 years, it is really doesn't tell you everything but it will give you a good start. For the actual clothing line: 1. Hire a patternmaker to make the designs into patterns. - I got lucky - my person is a real designer/patternmaker so she made my designs "offical" and then made the patterns 2. Hire a sample maker to make the sample to make sure the patterns work. 3. Hire a fit model (this is different than a runway model) to make sure the fit is correct Note: there are other people involved too, like a cutter, grader, etc but you will learn this from the patternmaker/sample maker. 4. Once the patterns are correct, you need to find a company to make the clothes. If you live in LA, SanFran, NY this will be fairly easy. Other places, I have no idea. - I found mine from a book called the Contractor Resources available at fashiondex. (www.fashiondex.com) Then besides all the clothing line stuff, there is all the general business stuff. Any start-up business book should be able to help you with this. Good luck
