How can you ask the seller a question on ebay?

Question for eBay sellers?

• I bought a DS game which turned out to be fake. It didnt work and I took it to my local game shop and they told me it was fake and pointed out that the barcode on the box was for a different game (Mario 64). I got my money back but I still really want the game. I don't want to buy another one from Hong Kong and there only one seller on eBay that selling it from the UK. They say it's new and factory sealed but the fake one I got was also sealed. I know what the correct barcode is for the game I want and the product code. I thought a good way to know if its real would be to ask the seller if they could tell me what barcode appears on the back that way I'll know if its real or not. I'm just worried that they'll be really insulted by the question since they have 100% good feedback and they've been a member since 2000 and they'll think I'm trouble and won't want to sell to me. Would you be insulted if someone asked you something like that?

  When you ask the seller the question, mention the situation (without using so many words). You are describing a seller who is almost certainly credible. Go ahead and ask the question of the seller. A reputable seller should understand. I, for one, would not be insulted.
