How to get money back from ebay?

After being refunded how long will it take to get back my money on ebay?

  • i bought an item on ebay, finding out soon after it was the wrong item i meant to buy, so i explained this to the seller and he canceled my transaction and he said i was refunded. i checked the same day, but still no money back. do i have to wait at least a day or something to get back my money??? or was i supposed to get my money right away??? thnx for ur help

    It depends on the seller. If they credit it back immediately you can get your money back immediately. If the seller waits to received the item back or it has to go to dispute it will take longer. If it has to go to dispute Ebay gives the seller a week to respond. After that it goes to arbitration and Ebay typically resolves it within 24 hours. However, I had one case that got lost during the process and took longer. In all cases Ebay has been excellent to deal with and I have gotten my money back when the item was not received.
