    1. You must be 18. 2. You must have a working paypal account so you can be paid. 3. Search completed auctions to see what has sold before attempting to list; look for auctions with 3 or more buyers. The first one has theirs. The 2nd highest bidder determines the winning bid. 4. Plan on 9% in fees to eBay--that's on price plus shipping and is in addition to paypal's fees. 5. Warning certain categories--particularly electronics--are high fraud categories. eBay and paypal (same company) will often freeze payments until they are sure the buyer is happy. 6. Figure out how you plan to ship BEFORE listing. If you can't find a box, don't list. If you can't figure out the postage, don't list. 7. If you want $10 for an item, do not start bidding at 99cents. Someone can win for 99cents.
