What should I charge for....?

  • I am 14 years old and I'd like to make some extra money this summer doing something I like! I really enjoy working with computers and being creative and savvy making flyers and business cards. I was wondering how much I should charge making a: -flyer -business card -brochure -invitation/greeting card -newsletter -catalogue I have a few clients and they'd like to know my prices. I am charging for the design and layout, not printing. How much should I charge for each? Thanks!

    Don't charge less than $25 for any of this. The actual prices should be dependent upon effort. A really basic business card (one piece of clip art, one or two basic fonts) would probably take you 20-40 minutes to knock out (once you play with a few different ideas). If that's a $25 effort, just work everything up from there. A simple flyer or brochure (not too much text, but a simple design) should probably be $40-50 (at your age).
