How do I start a dog walking business?

Is it possible for me to start a walking dog business in Alameda? if so then how?

    Be sure and take water bottles with you when you walk the dogs and an pan for them to drink out of. We take plenty of water with us because we take a baby stroller for the small 12 year old Yorkie we walk all the time, and stash the water under and all around the stroller and a drinking pan. Be consistant when you walk the dogs, and if they start acting tired, be sure and find shade to rest. Make sure the collar is not too tight, and really harness is best for walking any dog. Take a stick with you to fend off dogs trying to come at you and attack. Or maybe a baseball bat like we do. We dont have a dog walk business, but wish there was one nearby here. Maybe put up signs or ask people in the community? Be sure and watch out for "weird" acting people and stay away from them big time. Take a cell phone or two with you. %
