Is it a good idea to work as a tourist guide by my own?

  • I´m searching for a job to do it by my own, without a need of a boss. I´m thinking about being a tourist guide. I studied Tourism in a well-known mexican university and I love dealing with people. I speak spanish, english, french and a little bit german. Is it a good idea to post a personal ad in the free classified advertisements on the web? The idea of being a tourist guide is not just for taking people to places or explaining them about culture or history but also for being with them because of the lack of security in my country. I won´t take them to risk places and the cost for my job would be cheaper than paying to a travel agency. Do you think people from USA, Canada or Europe might contact me or do you think that I would only be loosing my time? I need to earn some extra money and I will be very happy to get it at the same I´m doing something I really love. Which are the best web-sites to post my ad for free?
