Ebay cancling transaction question?
-
Hi guys.. so I bought a dslr case from ebay.. after 2weeks of getting mail that the item has been shipped I didnt get it so I asked the seller. He said that he will ask the post office tuesday. then I get a message from ebay that he want to cancel the transaction. So here is the question.. 1) Will I get my money back if I agree to it? or do I have to file a claim or something.. Thanks!

You wrote, "Will I get my money back if I agree to it?" Well, let me put it to you this way, do NOT agree to it until AFTER you get a refund, because as soon as you agree, that's it, it's over. Good luck!... ☺
DO NOT AGREE TO CANCEL THE TRANSACTION! At this point, because you have not received your item and you have not received a refund for your item, there is absolutely no reason why this seller should try to make you agree to cancel the transaction (it seems as though he is trying to take the easy way out). Is you agree to cancel the transaction, you will not receive a refund and 9 out of 10 times not your item either. You need to open an item not received case asap via Ebay. Under the transaction details section, you will see "resolve a problem", once you click on that you will see the option for opening a case. This is your only way of actually getting the item you paid for or receiving a full refund. Did you get a tracking number from this seller? You waited way too long for your item and it's the sellers turn to take responsibility for the transaction. As long as you open up a case, Ebay will have your back...afterall, the buyer is always right! Hope this helps and good luck!
The seller should only be able to request a transaction cancellation when the item hasn't been paid for or refunded. I expect the seller has refunded your payment and now wants to cancel the transaction to reclaim their fees. Check your ebay/paypal to see if the item has been refunded. If it hasn't ask the seller whats happening.
