Starting a small mowing business in my neighborhood...?

• Im 16 and I would like to make a little extra money aside from my job. I was thinking of going around my suburban neighborhood and leave a piece of paper at doors offering my services. I'm stuck on what to put on this piece of paper though... what do you think? It's more of a job application for everyone in my neighborhood (about 100 houses) What should I put on this application specifically, if you could write one that I could use, I will give you best answer. Thanks!!!

  The flyers are a good idea but if you go that route keep it basic. Just what your offering, the price, your name and number. However, if your going up to the doors anyway, your better off knocking on them and seeing if you can talk to a live person. This will give them a face to remember, and not just a piece of paper that they will probably throw away. You could even make up some free business card to hand them with your name & number. (I think you can get them at vistaprint.com) Another idea is to post flyer at your local hardware store or grocery store. And/or put a post up on Craigslist & explain that you are only offering in the local area. Also, have you thought about making money dog walking? A lot of working people are tired when they get home or just don't have the time. Hope all that helps!
