How to properly go about creating a website/online business with a few friends legally?

• Hello. I am in the process of creating a website with a few friends. We would like to monetize this website with things like Google AdSense or Kontera and want to go about doing it legally. As residents of the United States, I am unsure what steps we need to take to set this up. Essentially, I am hoping that all revenues that are being earned and the taxes associated with those revenues will be the sole responsibility of each "partner" depending on the split. I do not want all of the taxes to become my burden at the end of the year because the government has it listed under my revenue as the account holder. I hope this makes sense. Essentially I am being told that I should look into creating a Partnership opposed to a LLP. However, I am not sure how this would work exactly. With Google AdSense, it requires that you sign up for personal accounts or a business account. If you choose a business account you must then provide bank info for that business. Is a Partnership technically a legal business and can bank accounts be created for it?
