Initial rate question?

Tax rate question for retail shop/cash register?

  • hi i purchased a sharp ex-a110 cash register and I have been trying all day to manually input the tax rate. I have followed what the book says which is as follows: I am using the tax rate method. Tax rate method: uses a specified percent rate for tax calculation on each taxable subtotal. Use the following sequence to program the tax percentabe: 9 key > Subtotal key > 1 key for tax1 > @/TM key > Tax Rate (0.0000% to 99.9999%)x10000 > @/TM key > Minimum taxable amount > CA/AT/NS key For the tax rate I have input 007475% and for the minimun taxable amount I have input 11. There is no decimal key on the cash register so I don't think I am inputing this correctly. Here is what I get when I try to run a transaction on the register. 6.00+2.00+3.00=11.00+0.08 tx=11.08 total When I compare the tax computed to the tax table it shows as not accurate. It should be .83 cents. Please if you know how to fix this please assist me. Thank you for your time I live in Henry Counyt Missouri here is a link to the MoDept of Revenue Tax table http://www.dort.mo.gov/tax/business/sales/taxcards/taxcard.asp

It is true that California sales taxes are slightly higher than average (but are not at all the highest, yet). However, people complaining about California taxes always forget about one thing: California has almost the LOWEST property tax rate in the United States. Only Hawaii and Alabama have lower rates. The money to run the state has to come from somewhere.
