When in-home daycare providers started their business?

• Did any daycare providers when you first began your business start of doing it all by yourself with an 8:1 ratio and when did you hiring more staff to help with your business or did you always start your business with at least two people because I am thinking about opening an in home daycare. I was wondering should my daycare be for 1 through 5 yrs old or should I open my day care home for 2 to 5yrs old thank you for your input and suggestions
