Are no fee envelope stuffing job offers a scam?

Answer:
If it sounds too good to be true it probably is. Why do any businesses need to send out menial work to people? Assembly can be done in other countries cheaper than here. Better to start your own business.

Working from home is not a myth. Doing it stuffing envelopes is a myth.

They are all scams. There is no such thing as a legitimate envelope stuffing or home assembly job UNLESS you are part of a charity. For example there are charities for the blind or disabled where legally blind or disabled people assemble things at home and these are sold to raise money for the charity. But these jobs are found through a charity There have not been real envelope stuffing jobs for more than 20 years. When any mailing house can stuff 1000 envelopes ten minutes for less than $20 why would anyone pay a person hourly wages when it would take them days to stuff 1000 envelopes??? And "home assembly" jobs are all trying to get you to buy the kits. But you will never get paid for anything you assmble. Even if it's perfect they will have an excuse why it was rejected. Because they don't care about what you are assembling, their business is selling kits to naive people
Unless you have very specific skills, such as graphic design, web design, computer programming or sell on eBay, there are no real internet work at home jobs. On line jobs are just another urban myth. You will just be bombarded with all kinds of work at home scams such as envelope stuffing, data entry, home assembly, medical transcription, reading e mails, surveys, etc.

Especially if you have to purchase anything to start. These scams are cropping up all over the internet and are malicious. Typically, approaches such as these prey on people looking for jobs or who are in search of extra finance and attempt to get as much information from them as possible (known as phishing), pretending to be a head-hunter or hiring agency or some equivalent 'official'. From there your identity can be stolen, or bank acct/funds stolen. Check out the social justice site http://www.GetPayback.com to find out about scams - and if you end up getting scammed yourself make sure to post a claim on the site to help warn the public, and get social justice from dangerous enterprises such as these. It is possible for the public to hold these companies accountable through social justice sites and responsible proactive consumer practices. Good luck

Sorry to say this but anytime someone wants you to send them money to work for them is not the way to go. It's not like the home party plans that want you to pay a fee for their starter kits. This is how the envelope stuffing people get rich! Also beware of any of the other work at home scams out there.Like assemble products at home etc. I would reort them to the BBB and do a search on the company anytime that you want to check a legit company out.I hope they listen to you and don't send them anymore money! I would call the number again and ask them the name of the company, the address and so forth. Make out like you are interested. When you get this info hang up the phone.
