How do I turn my product idea into something profitable?

I think I have a great idea. How do I turn it into a product?

    Make a design, Draw it as best as you can and make sure it is understandable and then find a producer. Look online for one to make a prototype for you, just one or two usually. If you get good responses then I'd think about taking it to a patent office and then mass production. It would be easier to answer if i knew what kind of product we're talking about. Also remember that this could take a lot of money, inventing a new product is expensive and very risky. But go for it if you think it's a best seller. Good luck :)
