My dad has a bump on his back - what can this be?

My Dad has a little knot or bump in his head and im afraid...?

  • Answer:

First of all I am sorry to hear about your Dad. That knot or bump could be anything. It need not necessarily be cancer. But what needs to be done is that it needs to be examined by a doctor. And you have to be very persuasive . I know some people take their health lightly but you need to tell him that you love him and need him around. Keep driving home that point. I do pray for your father. And I hope you are doing fine after your bout with cancer. My prayers and good wishes are with you both. Hope your Dad listens to you and goes to see a doc soon. All the best.

keep trying its hard to say what to do with out knowing if the knot is under skin or on top and what it looks like.

I would not be worried about your dad having cancer. The lump is probably just a cyst that can easily be removed in a doctor's office. I had a cyst removed from my head many years ago and it was just a calcium deposit. You can let your dad know that if he continues to let it grow, when he does finally have it removed it will result in a larger scar that hair will not grow on.
