What Are Breast Cancer Symptoms? ?
-
I know about A lump in the breast or underarm that persists after your menstrual cycle; often the first apparent symptom of breast cancer, breast lumps are painless, although some may cause a prickly sensation. Lumps are usually visible on a mammogram long before they can be seen or felt. Swelling in the armpit. Although lumps are usually painless, pain or tenderness in the breast can be a sign of breast cancer. A noticeable flattening or indentation on the breast, which may indicate a tumor that cannot be seen or felt. Any change in the size, contour, texture, or temperature of the breast; a reddish, pitted surface like the skin of an orange could be a sign of advanced breast cancer. A change in the nipple, such as an indrawn or dimpled look, itching or burning sensation, or ulceration; scaling of the nipple is symptomatic of Paget's disease, a localized cancer. Unusual discharge from the nipple that may be clear, bloody, or another color. It's usually caused by benign conditions but could be due to cancer in some cases. A marble-like area under the skin. An area that is distinctly different from any other area on either breast. BUT WHAT WILL MY BODY FELL LIKE?

Answer:
Unfortunately, your body will feel perfectly normal - until the cancer is well advanced. That is why so many woman DON't see their doctors. They think because they FEEL well they must BE well and sadly, this is not the case. I was sure my VERY SORE lump was nothing. I was young, active and "healthy". SURPRISE!! Most cancers will be growing silently for quite a while before they make people "feel sick". By then, it's usually too late to treat. This is why early detection is so very important.

You might not feel anything - many women don't. A dear friend, my stepmother and my sister had no other physical symptoms. My sister felt perfectly well and was diagnosed through a biopsy after her husband felt a lump, my mother was her usual cranky self and was feeling no physical symptoms but it was discovered during a check-up, and my friend unfortunately had no telltale signs, not even in her annual mammogram and it was diagnosed too late, she had been having severe back pains, which was later discovered to be breast cancer that had spread to her bones. None of them had any other physical symptoms - which is often the case and that's why cancer is so deadly.
People who have had breast cancer don't feel a change in their body it's usually by feel that they have any alarm whatsoever. Sometimes even the lumps are just swollen milk glands from previous pregnancies.
Your body will feel normal, it's just the lumps.. maybe as the lumps grow the symptoms will too.
Instead of coming here, where you'll get a lot of misinformation, I'd suggest that you at least go to a reputable medical site. The American Cancer Society, WebMD, and so forth. If you're looking for more personal stuff, I'd suggest contacting a local breast cancer support group. There will be someone that will be able to give you a good answer to your question.
