My boyfriend doesn't want to spend easter day with me?

Don't judge me for that, because it's each to their own, but Easter kind of means a lot to me. Also, I've been with my boyfriend for nine months, and this would be our first Easter together. He told me for weeks and weeks he would spend it with me and my family, and it made me really happy. Me and my family have a tradition with it, and have easter egg hunts and stuff, and have a really fun time, and I was really looking forward to sharing that with him. He now, all of a sudden, wants to go camping with his friends instead. I hardly see him in comparison to how much I used to see him because of work as it is, and I was looking forward to this, and spent the day easter shopping for him today, and he knows this. Would you be upset? I don't know what to do.

I've been in your situation before and it does hurt. Not cool to make plans and say you will do something then bail out last minute. You have every right to be upset with him. He isn't being good with thinking he can just bail out and be with his friends. You two need to have a talk and he needs to understand why you are upset.
