What Are Good Carbs?

Carbs are bad for you! No carbs are good for you! Eughh, please help mee!?

  • Answer:

Here's how I see it, I don't think your body needs carbs as in breads. Because way back when there were cavemen all they ate was meat, fruits, and veggies, and they seemed to be pretty strong. If you look into what you are eating alot of things have carbs, one that surprised me was a banana, I had no idea carbs could be in fruits so I think there are good carbs and bad carbs, bad carbs being anything that needs to be processed and baked like bread, and then the good carbs (in my opinion) are rice, potatoes and fruit apparently haha, anything that can be found in nature, your not going to find a loaf of bread growing out of the ground. This is a confusing subject though, that's why most of this is based off my own opinions of what I've researched. For a diet I think too many carbs is a bad thing so they should be limited but I see people having successful diets and still eating sandwiches while I'm searching for a low carb low cal replacement for bread. I like pita bread, wraps, and Anorlds Thins. I also looked in to white verses whole wheat bread, they seem to have the same fat, cal, and carb content but whole wheat bread has more nutrients so to be healthy that is a good option. I think I got off track haha sorry, I think your body does need carbs to get energy, just not the carbs from bread, I get my carbs from potatoes and rice but I don't eat alot of those things, and very few of my carbs come from bread. So, I hope I helped and didn't confuse you more. Good luck!

I say forget the carbs and worry about the calories. Reducing your caloric intake to about 1500 cal per day allows you to eat very nearly whatever you want, as long as you do it in moderation, and get the proper amount of exercise.

COMPLEX carbs are your best friend. so are proteins, essential oils, fruits, and veggies. so is water. at least 64 oz. per day. you can eat lots of fruit and non starchy veggies. low carb diets are an unhealthy fad. carbs are where the energy comes from. stay away from soda and fast foods. processed foods contain too much sodium. SIMPLE carbs with no fiber are your enemy. fiber is your friend. don,t eat any carbs with less than 3 grams of fiber per serving.
