Double majoring in college, is it difficult?

What is the normal day of a college student majoring in middle school history education(to be a teacher)?

  • I just don't know if I'm smart enough for college. :( My mom would like me to go to community college but I really don't think I want to /: I plan to be as committed as possible but it's really hard to decide if I should go off to college or not because I just don't know what to expect at all! I was planning on going to community college over the summer before going off to college just to lighten my load a lil bit...is that a good thing to do or no?? Please help! I really need some guidance /: lol oh btw, I want to be a history major(middle school teacher)

OK. :) I'm actually attending University right now and I'm studying to be a middle school math teacher so I have the general idea of what you are going through. First of all, everyone is smart enough to go to college you just have to want it. College is a new experience so you kinda shouldn't already know what to expect- that's what makes it fun. If you want to save some money go to community college first and then transfer to a university. You could take some classes in the summer to lighten your load for the first semester (semester is about half a year. your classes depending on where you go will only last half a year and then you get new classes the next semester) but there will always be more classes you can take . Taking classes in the summer just lets you graduate earlier. Since your in school right now you might want to take 12-15 credit hours per semester- cause your used to staying in school all day. In college, you make a schedule with times for classes and you show up for class during those times and that's it. It's kinda hard to understand until you've done it but it will make sense later. If you have any more questions just let me know :) GOOD LUCK!!!
