Is financial aid for online students available?

Does financial aid benefit married students?

  • My husband and I have been married since February of this year, we dated throughout high school and decided to tie the knot at a young age (we are 19). We both have been working and he began college right after high school as I took time off. I want to attend college this fall however I am not sure how financial aid will work in our situation. We live with his parents and I am looking into a different college than he is. He is transferring to a university as I will be attending community college. Do the 2 different schools effect our financial aid? If so how? and does our living situation impair us from getting money through FAFSA? we live in WA state and Ive heard that makes a difference also. I feel silly asking these questions but really have no one to be able to answer them since we are both puzzled. I would appreciate all answers/information available on Financial Aid and Married Students. Please help! I appreciate it :)

  • Answer:

nope.......your schools COA= cost of attendance will not spike up due to being married. It will hurt you...now you will have two incomes! = less aid :(
