Why is 0^0 undefined?

Why do they value their stuff 0.99$ instead of 1.00$?

  • Well I am not an American neither Europian and I was wondering why. You know what they can easily say 1.00$ or 3.00$ or 10.00$ or even 800.00$ but they keep on valuing their stuff like this: 0.99$, 2.99$, 9.99$ and 799.00$ I have no problem with this method I just wonder why do they do this? Is there a story behind it?Philosophy perhaps?

  • Answer:

Marketing research suggests that impulse buyers will more readily purchase a $3.00 item if it "only" costs $2.99. Just under pricing (49 cents, $1.95, and so on), is an effort to suggest to the buyer that they are getting a better price, a bargain.
