Anyone else read the Vampire Academy series? if so could you suggest books to read?

Ok so i finished reading it about a month ago and since then i have read the Morganville vampires, and i think to myself "i would have loved the Morganville vampires if i haden't had my standards set so high from Vampire academy" I can't seem to like any other book now, so MY QUESTION IS.. WHAT BOOKS CAN I READ THAT A BETTER THAN VAMPIRE ACADEMY? Here's what i have already read.. MORGANVILLE VAMPIRES TWILIGHT EVERMORE SERIES HOUSE OF NIGHT Can you also leave a small discription of the book series please, thank you to who ever answers :)

Some of these books are not about vampires but I loved them Audrey, Wait! - a girls ex writes a song about their breakup. It becomes famous and Audrey's life is turned upside down... Carrie by Stephen King- a misfit high school girl discovers she has telekinetic powers, and after a prank gone wrong, kills almost everyone in her town. Hope these help...probably my favorites after Vamp. Academy :)
