What are the best resources to learn Tamil?

  • I am interested in learning Tamil, but have no prior knowledge whatsoever in Tamil though. I would like to know what are the best resources to learn Tamil. Can someone recommend me one good book, as I prefer reading a book rather than going through online courses. I am quite busy too, so I don't have time to go for classes. So I really need a good book which I can use to teach myself with. I would like to know Tamil enough to be able to have conversations with native speakers, and probably be able to read Tamil newspapers as well. So, I would like it if the book also teaches me the Tamil alphabets. PS: I have 'Colloquial Tamil the Complete Course' already
