Is it okay to take Monistat during your period?

Monistat 3 SUCKS!! Help! I'm 16.?

  • So I've had a bump for about 3 months near my vagina and it never grew or shrunk &was occasionally itchy. There was also white discharge, but I didn't think it was a yeast infection because I didn't even know the symptoms of a yeast infection at the time lol. Then I had sex in early March, and about 5 days later it hurt so bad to pee, and then there was blood in my urine. I went to the hospital and they said I had a kidney infection. I took strong antibiotics for it and then about a week later my vagina lips started itching like crazy and I also had white discharge again. I looked up "yeast infection symptoms' and then waited until after my period ended to get Monistat 3. I took Monistat 3 on Friday&Saturday and then Sunday morning I started bleeding like I was on my period again, along with cramps. I didn't take the 3rd dose. Monday, I bled less and went to the doctor. He said that he wanted me to wait until my next REAL period started to start getting tested for infections. I'm bleeding again today, and having minor cramps. But now my vagina is literally SWOLLEN and it only hurts when I touch it. The bump is still there. What should I do??!

    Find A different gynecologist, and go there. The one you go to is obviously and *** hole. I would, no point suffering because a doctor doesn't care or have time for you.

I don't think you have a yeast infection..I would go to a doctor about this, maybe a different one that can help you.

Yeah as the other girls had mentioned to see another doctor I would recommend you do so also.You need to be tested and to be seen by a doctor that knows what they are doing!Wish you the best of luck and take care:)

I don't think you have a yeast infection..I would go to a doctor about this, maybe a different one that can help you.
