Does alcohol effect the depo-provera birth control shot?

  • I just got my 2nd depo provera birth control shot today. Today we also found out that the lump found on my mom's breast is not cancer. We celebrated by drinking wine. Since I'm under age, I was only given less than half a small glass of wine. I don't drink normally, this is the first time I drank in almost a year (with parental supervision). Will this effect the shot? Or no because it is my 2nd shot?

    Pretty sure that alcohol has absolutely nothing to do with the effectiveness of your method of birth control, be safe...protect yourself from STDs use condoms too.
