What do you guys think of the next gen game consoles having an anti used games?
-
i always get used games at a game store that i go to. how a game be used is of course the game was once new then the person decided to sell it, since it was used its now a used game. now you bought it used, brought it home and the new next gen console wont accept it. to me that is lame. they should have it were the system checks to see if it is pirated. if the game is pirated then the console should then not play it. if the game was once bought new but then turned used the system should still read the disc unless like i said if it is pirated it should not take the disc at all.

Answer:
xbox and ps4 will probably both do it based on the article I read. People might be frustrated at first but after awhile it will become the norm. They have to figure out a way to make more profits. They really don't make much money at all on the consoles themselves. The money is made on the games.

Jshoener...
How would it know if it was used? This won't happen. If it did, I hope Microsoft is ready to be a failure.

IGN has been full of sh*t as long as i can remember. If that little section of 'anti-used' games really happened I'm sure Sony would pump out the playstation 4 and trump microsoft into the ground. The spirit of competition seems to liven thing up a little and keep things fair. Plus the 'Xbox 720' sound cheesy as hell and i can guarantee that's not anything like what will happen. Not only that, but in order for that to happen (say sony played along) they would have to close down all video stores first. People would just start renting games for two weeks and their sales of actualy $60 games would probably decrease dramatically.
