What was an important 'turning point' in your life?

• `` You were in a relationship, got out, or out of one, went in. You were in a religion, got out, not in one, got in one. You just thought differently in such a major way that EVERYTHING for you ...looked different. If you feel you can express this here, please do so. It's more the meaning, or process that interests me. Saying, I was Christian, became atheist, says nothing. Saying, I was atheist, became Christian may be saying nothing. (or it may be, who knows unless you express this). So, it's process. Often our lives have many turning points, big ones, small ones, and who is to say which one was big, which small? There can be a lot of meaning in a turning point. For Christians, it doesn't HAVE to be your conversion but it can be. It might be when you saw something about yourself that was, well, not OK! It could be knowing you shouldn't be taking a certain course at school, or working somewhere. For some, there is a spiritual component to this, thus R & S. Turning points.   When my family abandoned me at 15 and I had to work instead of finish school. When I made it to my 18th birthday instead of dying. When I got married and had a child. When I got divorced. When I almost died. When I became a Christian. When my true love died. The list can go on and on.
