Can you send e-mails to Korean e-mail servers?

Is it ok to send MP4 attachment on a marketing email?

  • I want to send out personalised video emails to potential clients. From an email marketing opinion is this an acceptable way to send emails. The other way would be to have a link to the video in the email. BUT I think maybe that people will intrigued with an attachment to read it. So what are the implications? Most email servers surely accept MP4 attachments right? On the flip side, at least if its a link I can track via Google Analytics. But then what does that matter if a good portion of people delete the email before they read it? Pros and cons and both. With respect, I'm hoping to get an opinion from email marketing experts rather than personal opinions. I'm not sure how you define spam, but I don't think it is at all. These are personalised videos that relate to a business on a personal level. There is a lot of time and effort into preparing these videos and customising the emails to every business. Please keep that in mind. It's a legitimate business that I run with a legitimate service I offer that will actually help many businesses.

  • Answer:

Sounds like spam to me and your attachment may be strongly suspected of being a virus and so very few people will open it

In the Email Marketing world, SPAM is defined as any email that meets the following three criteria: - Anonymity: The address and identity of the sender are concealed - Mass Mailing: The email is sent to large groups of people - Unsolicited: The email is not requested by the recipients Email servers today rely on their spam filter to keep their users out of spam, so for newsletters, attachment is never a good idea since most spam filter will take it as spam automatically.

Maybe you could use a QR Code within the email for people to scan with their phones and it takes them to a website to view your marketing presentation? or if you prefer attachment don't see any reasons why you cant add it
