Why am I having dreams about being chased?

Dreams (nightmares?) of being chased and often stabbed. Interpret?

  • I've had some dreams where i'm often chased and end up being stabbed or hurt some way. In the dreams i know i'm dreaming, all the time. They're incredibly realistic except i'm often speaking to people i've never met people but in the dreams it's like i've been friends with them a long time. There's only a couple of these people usually. When it comes to part where i'm about to be chased i can tell something's wrong, it's like i know exactly who's chasing me but at the same time there's no name to them, it's just 'that person is after me'. It's usually sort of like a man, but freakishly superhuman (these dreams are weird, i know) like he can move faster than me (i seem to run slowly before i'm caught up with), always seems to think one step ahead and he always kills the people that get in his way, like it's no problem. I think the worst thing is that i know this thing has the intent to hurt. If i try to hide or run it will always find me, and my dreams usually end when my dream self forcibly says 'wake up' and does something like pinch my arm a moment before or if this thing actually stabs me. I can feel pain in my dreams, that whole no-pain in your dreams is bull. I either wake up actually pinching myself or feeling the pain of being stabbed somewhere in my body for a split second after i wake up only to have it fade to where it seems like i'm feeling the pain of a bruise where i've been injured, but without the mark. It always seems to be the same thing but the people around me change. Plus i'm always stabbed with the same dagger (or small sword?) this thing has. I'm usually chased to a place where i'm alone, somewhere kinda dark, gloomy or damp (but not always)? So, after all of this barrell of crazy any ideas of what my dreams mean? I have a great family life, i love my friends, i'm doing well at university and i keep busy with hobbies. I havn't had any traumas and these dreams don't make me **** scared, just confused because i seem to be having them often.

I didn't bother reading this. (Continue reading) This idea of 'meanings of dreams' was developed by Sigmund Freud (said Froid). He was a very famous psychologist in the late 1800s and early 1900s. He came up with many famous and well known theories. Now why am I telling you all of this? Because your dreams actually don't mean anything. A lot of things we see as common beliefs are actually false. And of course, were developed by Freud himself. Tell your friends.

Dreams are just your mind sifting through thoughts. Somehow, stories develop. If i am have a dream like that that lasts night after night, i try going back to sleep to fingish the dream. If the dream will end with you escaping or the bad people getting caught, for example, then your mind will be at peace. Sometimes, a method that works for me, is when you wake up, hold on to the memory of the dream and do nothing until you think up an ending. Usually i imagine i find a gin or call the cops, and then the bad people are taken away. After this you shouldnt have these dreams anymore.

Dang! You can feel pain ur in dreams when and when you wake up..that's crazy. I've had a dream where I got shot in the head but in my dreams it doesn't really feel like I actually got shot. But anyway seems to me like you've been watching a lot of horror movies like scream and maybe some superman. Just try to stop watching those it'll probablly stop.

the evil horses represent the Security Team at Target. They are chasing you because you stole those earrings and ate a whole box of Wheat Thins without paying for them all while pretending to shop for gardening supplies. Ok now do mine: I was laying in the bed with the Chef from Hell's Kitchen and he was kissing me and I actually didn't mind even though in real life I would not consider him to be make-out material as he is clearly less than an 8. Anyway, he was laying on top of me and he licked my shoulder and told me I had a sunburn. Then I woke up.
