Why can't I connect my Nintendo DS to Wi-Fi?

How Can I connect my Nintendo ds lite to wifi without using Nintendo Usb adapter?

  • I have a nintendo Ds lite, I am trying to connect my pokemon platinum to the wifi, but My wireless router is set to WPA which is not supported by the ds lite. I am not wanting to set my router to WEP, nor am I purchasing a nintendo brand USB adapter as the prices are ridiculous. Is there another way to connect my ds to the wifi?

  • Answer:

nope, I've painstakingly looked for a solution to this problem, but it's impossible to get the ds lite to connect WPA. it simply doesn't have the technology for it. You could go to your public library, a food joint, or some other wifi hotspot that you can connect to, since you only need wifi for battling and trading on wifi. Or you could upgrade your ds to a dsi or 3ds which both can connect to WPA. not the cheapest thing, but you get the newest console.

It is possible, but takes a lot of work. On google you can find a lot of tutorials. And your Netbook must be on when you want wireless access.
