Why is my sims 3 so slow?

Why does The Sims 3 run so slow on my Macbook Pro, but World of Warcraft runs perfectly fine?

  • Answer:

Part of the problem is that WoW is designed to be able run on not-so-great computers, hence the ability to turn all the graphics extremely low. The Sim 3 is designed to run on decent computers that have at least slightly better graphics. My only suggestions are to turn the graphics of The Sims farther down, turn the resolution down...etc. It won't look as great but it should run better. Also, Macs really aren't the computers to be running games on in the first place.
