How To Update Rosters On Wii?

What do I have to do to make my Wii system update?

  • Alright all my fellow Wii nerds, I soft modded my Wii not too long ago, if you don't have experience with this then you probably can't help me. Anyway, soft modded my Wii, did it right, I think. But I don't want it modded any more. I have tried numerous times and numerous ways to completely undo it. -I have uninstalled all IOSs over 200 as read in a some guide I found. -Uninstalled all channels I had previously installed using the wad manager --both of these using any title deleter -I have tried to update using a new disc that requires update, it starts then within five seconds it says the download failed. -I have tried to go into the Wii Shop Channel and clicked on the update button, where the screen then goes black and freezes. -EVERYTIME I go into the Wii settings, click, then screen goes black and freezes. I do have priiloader if that matters.. Bottom Line: I want to be free of all of my hacks and want my Wii to be like new, is that possible? Can anyone out there help me?

Well have you tried disconnecting from your Internet and them using the disc to update so it doesn't use the Internet at all? An easier way to be rid of everything is to format your Wii by going to the setting and the last page on the right, then once there click the format Wii system button so everything is deleted completely. If you do this keep in mind that means your Wii channels that you purchased won't work! So think it over and if you do copy save data to an sd card so you have some data left

It really sounds like you'll have to rehack your Wii to fix it and then delete stuff in the right order to unhack it. Your best bet is to goto http://gbatemp.net/forum/108-wii-hacking/ and ask there so you can get a better back and forth conversation about what to next. As long as the Wii turns on and you can get to the system menu there is still hope...
