HDMI for PS3? NEED URGENT HELP?
-
So I am trying to use HDMI with my ps3, the tv I have is a LOGIK 24" LED HD Ready 1080p L24LDIB11 I have tried contacting Playstation and sent them this E-mail - Dear Playstation advisor. I have been trying to get my PS3 Slim to work with my HDMI but it doesn’t seem to be working. It is running from SCART at the moment and also has the HDMI cable connected. The TV I am using has two HDMI settings, those are: HDMI 1 HDMI 2 it doesn’t work on either of them. I have gone to the ‘Video Output Settings’ on my console and selected ‘HDMI’. It comes up with the screen saying it gives you 30 seconds to change to the HDMI channel and continue. So obviously I tried to switch to HDMI 1 and 2, but it just says ‘no signal’. Any help with this problem will be MUCH appreciated. Thanks - Chris Windows So obviously I need a reply, I am using the following HDMI cable: http://www.amazon.co.uk/PRO-GOLD-1-4a-HDMI-COMPATIBLE/dp/B002U38E9O/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1333456177&sr=8-2 PLEASE HELP

Answer:
When it says you have 30 seconds to decide you have to click Yes for it to stay like that. Then the AV cable screen should go black and the HDMI 1 should work. Otherwise communication is somehow being interrupted between the PS3 to HDMI to TV. This has happened to me before. I just reset the system back to default settings, switched the ends of the HDMI with the other, tried again and it worked fine afterwards. To reset the system to default again while it's off in stand by mode (red light) hold the power button down until it beeps at you. Then while the TV and system are off, switch the ends of the HDMI and turn both on. It should say an HDMI has been detected yadda yadda yadda, you click yes, the 30 second thing should come up again, click yes or ok whatever it says then the screen will go black, then you click input on your TV remote until it switches to HDMI 1 and there you go. It should work. Make sure the HDMI ports on both the TV and PS3 aren't damaged at all as well. Hope that helps.
