Why can't we buy a certain amount of Microsoft points?

Answer:
As much as I love Microsoft and am an Xbox fan, Microsoft is Veeeerry Greedy. It's all part of marketing and wanting you to buy more stuff with left over points which may no be enough for you to buy something else and you go buy even more points. So it's a never ending cycle.

Sign up for bing rewards. I got enough points to get 100 msp in like a week... Go to Bing.com you can use your facebook account, then just search and make sure you click the discover tab... It takes like 150 pts, or you can get 500 pts to get 400msp. Pretty easy right? And it is free... EDIT: Someone doesn't like free stuff that is actually from microsoft. Hey it is cool.. I was giving you an option instead of 'buying' anything... But if you want to spend your money that is fine. I get my points for free FROM microsoft and not bs sites like some people post on here. You can go on xbox live and see a "bing" search bar... This is the same thing, same company... Good luck spending money tho.

Because they want you to buy more. All point intervals are set like that so you have to buy a larger amount than what you actually need and spend the rest on something else. Buy more = spend more. They are a company and care about profit not customer satisfaction, unfortunately.
