How do I teach myself how to make videos for YouTube?

Id like to start making youtube videos?

  • Im 14. so yes I can have a youtube channel without lying about my age. Id like to just like talk about the things tht happen but make them funny. I do that anyways to my friends & they laugh, they also tell me im awkward in the good funny way. I was voted class clown 3yrs in a row :D id also.like to do like help videos, like hairsyles, dances & i really want to make a drill team prep series bcuz if I make my drill team, ill help another girl with a dream! :D anyways im.not expecting to be huge bcuz I.know the chances are slim of me being huge, but I.dont wanna do it for fame, I want to.do it because I love making people laugh & smile & teach them.how to do things. & stop people from seeing sucky movies & encouraging them to see good ones. My questions are 1: Should I tell my parents? I know freedom of speech or press or whatever, but I dont want to not to tell them & have them hear from.someone else. Im.not gonna swear in every sentence. I want to keep it clean. 2: Editing programs? I have a flip mino & I dont know how to cut & edit stuff out or of any good simpler ones 3: How to get more noticed? Thanks

    Sure tell your parents! I would, and my parents would be proud that I'm actually doing something semi-productive. And they dont HAVE to watch them. There are a couple editing softwares out there that cost hundreds of dollars, like Sony Vegas Pro 10 or various Adobe programs. I'd recommend Sony Vegas Pro 10, if you can find a way to get it for free, like many people (wink wink). But that is for heavy editing, YouTubers like FreddieW, and CorridorDigital use that stuff. I think you'd be perfectly fine with just having the default Windows Movie Maker, which is probably already on your compuer. Its simple to use and comes with tutorials. How to get more noticed? Make videos that people would like to watch, post them on youtube, share them with friends on facebook, twitter, and stuff :) Oh yeah and also post video replies to Big youtubers pertaining to a video that you made. As mentioned above, Michelle Phan makes hair and makeup videos, so if you made one, post it as as reply to one or more of her videos :)

Go ahead make videos have fun :) thats what i did even tho i guess my vids suck but anyway if u want tell Ur parents. Cus maybe theyll find out sooner or later. And editing programs. U can use windows movie maker and those stuff. How to get noticed: make twitter and those social networks. Post the urls of ur videos. Tell ppl to checkem out! Hope it helps :)

Do really cool ideas and you'll get noticed fast! For the movie part you could give daily ratings for new movies.
