How to save captured digital video as individual clips?

How do I take little clips of youtube videos and save them to my comp. to make a video of my own?

  • I am working on an English project. I don't know much about uploading and creating videos on youtube. I need to use a few video clips and create one of my own. Is this possible, or do people who post those clips get them from elsewhere too? (From websites other than YT?) For instance I would like to use the breastfeeding scene from Grown Ups and a breastfeeding scene from Desperate Housewives.

    To retrieve the clips use http://keepvid.com Have the url ready, stick it in and download. To stitch them together, simply use a video editing program such as Windows Movie Maker or iMovie. Here is the best one that I use: http://www.softwarereviewsforum.com/threads/5-VDownloader-Review On that link you can also find a tutorial to download the videos in various formats. The software is available in 2 versions - Free and Plus version. You can download all sorts of videos using the free. I think the plus version can do a lot more. You just have to explore yourself after downloading the free version.
