What is english language/ english literature?

Our end of year9 exam time table says that we will have 2 english exams: english literature english language I just wanted to know what to expect because our teacher hasn't actually told us what will be in the tests as i'm unsure what topics will be in what test thanks to everyone in advance!!! :)

English literature is the literature written in the English language, including literature composed in English by writers not necessarily from England. Basicly its about poems and novels. and you have to comment on them English language is film reviews; writng about your imagination. Also comparing how 2 peices of text have a effect on you.

Eng lit is about Literature such as bronte novels, Shakespeare, poems etc and there will be questions about them. Eng Lang is more of a story piece you will answer. Your teacher should be explaining this to You as yr 9 determines the sets you are put in for the next two years!!
